Basil Pesto

Are you having friends of family over and need recipe ideas ?
This pesto recipe is delicious, easy to prepare and nutritious.

Portions: 8-10
Difficulty: Easy
Preparation time: 20 minutes

– 4 cups of fresh basil leaves
– 1 clove of garlic
– Juice from ½ a lime
– ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese
– ½ cup of pine nuts
– ½ cup of sunflower seeds
– 3 tbs of olive oil
– ½ tsp of salt

1. Blend the basil, garlic, lime juice, parmesan cheese, olive oil and salt until finely chopped
2. Add pine nuts and sunflower seeds and blend until coarsely chopped
3. Enjoy pesto on a bed of pasta or cooked chicken breast !
